Katia Avramidou and Johan Hampf Join CPG Board of Directors

14 April 2026

General Legal Counsel of Aegean Airlines and legal advisor to the PGA of Greece, Katia Avramidou, together with PGA of Sweden CEO Johan Hampf, have recently been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Confederation of Professional Golf (CPG). Their inclusion further strengthens the Board’s expertise while enhancing its diversity.

Katia, who represents long-time CPG Corporate Partner Aegean Airlines, has been closely involved with the organisation for many years. Her contributions include leading the CPG-sanctioned Aegean Airlines Pro-Am—now celebrating its 15th year—as well as providing consultancy support to the PGA of Greece.

Commenting on her appointment, Katia stated: “I am truly honoured to take on this role as a Director during such an exciting and progressive phase for the CPG. It represents both a privilege and a significant challenge.

“I look forward to collaborating with fellow Board members, contributing knowledge and experience in legal matters, regulatory frameworks, education, and supporting the development of new CPG initiatives.”

Johan Hampf brings extensive experience within the golf industry, particularly in education and professional development. Before becoming CEO of the PGA of Sweden, he served as Director of Education and has also contributed to the CPG Development Advisory Board (DAB) and the Golf Development Team (GDT). He replaces Marcus Lindell as Sweden’s representative following the conclusion of Lindell’s tenure.

Reflecting on his appointment, Hampf said: “Having been involved with the organisation in various roles since 2007, it is a great honour to join the Board of Directors. I am eager to contribute to the continued growth and development of the game alongside the CPG.”

Both appointments were confirmed unanimously by members during the CPG Annual General Meeting, held as part of the Annual Congress at Penina Hotel & Golf Resort. During the same meeting, Filippo Barbé, President of the PGA of Italy and Head of Education at the Italian Golf Federation, was re-elected to the Board, while Rainer Goldrian, CEO of the PGA of Germany, also extended his term.

They join Chairman Frank Kirsten (PGA of Holland), along with Ken Schofield, Jonathan Mannie, and Chief Executive Ian Randell, forming a truly international leadership team aligned with the CPG’s core values of unity, collaboration, and development.

CPG Chief Executive Ian Randell commented: “We are delighted to welcome Katia and Johan to the Board, and equally pleased to continue working with Filippo and Rainer.

“Both Katia and Johan have long-standing involvement with the CPG through their respective national PGAs and personal contributions. Their diverse expertise will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s strategic direction and future growth.”
